How giants are usually depicted in our tales? Huge human like creature, with 1/2/3 horns, red eyes, hairy body isn’t it? My previous blog talked about gigantic human fossil. What would we have to say if human skulls with horns were discovered?
In the 1880s, in a burial mound at Sayre, Bradford County, Pa., human skulls with horns were discovered. Horns started at the eye brows and extended two inches above. The skeletons were seven feet tall. Other than the horns, they were found to be anatomically normal. It was estimated they were buried around AD 1200.
This discovery was made by a reputable group of antiquarians, the Pennsylvania state historian and dignitary of the Presbyterian Church (Dr. G.P. Donehoo) and two professors, A.B. Skinner, of the American Investigating Museum, and W.K.Morehead, of Phillips Academy, Andover, Massachusetts. The bones were sent to the American Investigating Museum in Philadelphia; they were stolen and never seen again.

i like the last part - stolen and never seen again :)
i love stories where people and things disappear and nobody knows where they went. Why dont u post some such story?
Interesting, where do you dig up such information all about. I may or not believe in it, but it is sure feels nice to see alternative things and try to keep an open mind.
It could probably be some ubnormal bone condition (may be like a disease). A similar condition was reported in Shimla in 2003 where the man had a "horn" growing out of his head. No idea what happened to the man or his "horn".
Must be some one off case, of some abnormal condition.
Thinking back, Don't we have this weird tendency to dismiss anything "not-like-how-it-is-today" as never happened ;-)?
we sure are "strange" people ;-)
Interesting!! You should call your blog the 'NatGeo' blog :)
Actually there were a lot of species that were like Homo Sapiens. There were a total lot of them, and many were unknown to the present world. When the Arch. Dept find something like this, everyone thinks that to be human, they resemble close but not the same.

This was not the only skeletal remains found at the site with horns. In fact, all of the remains at that site had similar horns.
Things that make you go, hmmmm.
Could this be the Nephalim?
